Ride Days

Unforgettable riding on roads steeped in Tour de France history ...

We will guide you over some of the worlds most famous climbs as well as some other hidden away routes that will allow you to take in the spectacular riding that this area can offer. There will be a full briefing before each ride and each person will be given a plan of the ride to carry with them.

We will aim to ride as one group although this will inevitably be difficult on the longer climbs. Our support vehicle carrying spares, nutritional back up and spare clothing (if required) will be positioned on the mountain roads to offer assistance when it’s required.

*Please note that if you choose to separate from the group you will not have us leading you or the benefit of the back up vehicle.

For those new to riding in the Mountains then you can expect a true climb to be anything from 6 km to around 30 km along switchback roads with an average gradient of around 6-8%. The weather in the mountains can be unpredictable so expect anything from 35 degree heat to a dusting of snow at the top of a mountain pass, sometimes all in one day! Bring clothing for all conditions and you can of course leave things in our support vehicle. Make sure that your bike is in good mechanical order with new brake pads!

Please note that some rides will have a shorter cut off point or an add on loop but may not benefit from guiding or our back up vehicle.

A typical day will be:

  • 0800-0900 Breakfast
  • 0915 Pre ride Briefing
  • 0930 Depart on group ride
  • 1600 Post Ride Nutritional Recovery
  • 1630-1800 Massages
  • 1830-1900 Free Workshop
  • 1930 Dinner
  • Your time to enjoy Morzine, watch cycling DVDS etc
